Dive kit

Congratulations, you have chosen a rather expensive hobby! However it does not have to be too expensive, and whilst we expect people to have their own personal kit (mask, fins, and weight belts) to help ease the burden the club has a large selection of kit.  This is available for members to use throughout their training, and on club dive trips. This includes regulators, BCDs, cylinders, and semi-drysuits – take a look at the club kit pages to see the full details of the kit we have available within the club.

Club semi dry suits may be hired for open water dives

So you want to buy your own kit?

We have a selection of “buyers-guides” written by members of the club, with basic advice for buying different items of dive kit. Handy eh! If in doubt, or just want more advice, then collar your instructors or other experienced divers for a little chat.

The two main UK diving magazines, Diver, and Dive, are good sources of kit reviews. Diver may be browsed at your leisure in any good newsagents, and the club receives a copy of Dive each month (which will be located anywhere between the Secretary’s house and the lockup!)
