1. Trips planned
- Scuba Santa record attempt 18th December – sign up NOW! We need to help break the record and it will be a wicked event!
- Easter trips – Possible hard boat trips to Plymouth or Portsmouth but boats are looking pretty booked up already so we are hoping to act first on this. Keep checking your emails!
- Talks/visits – we have lots of non-diving stuff planned for the beginning of next year when it will be a little too cold and miserable for diving. The DDRC visit is what we are all really looking forward to!
- Brussels – 20 people interested. SIGN UP NOW – FINAL deadline is Thursday lunchtime.
- Summer Trip 2012 – hard boat is booking and information will be sent out by our DO shortly! Exciting stuff!
2. Training
- Future Courses/Exams - Compressor theory , O2 admin course and Dive leader exam are all planned and details will be going out shortly. A “Buoyancy and Trim Workshop” and “Diver cox’n” course are still in the pipeline.
- Update – This weekend we have gained some new IFC’s (assistant instructors!). They all enjoyed the course and will be joining the novices and instructors in the pool sessions soon!
3. Lock Up – The Lock up has been re-organised and it is looking a lot tider! Please help us keep it that way by hanging up all your kit in the right place.
4. Allowing the AU to use Indy – The AU have asked us whether other clubs might be able to use our RIB so we are currently liaising with G and Bob to make a set of rules to keep her safe!
5. Christmas meal – 44 people have signed up! It is going to be a fantastic night. Look out for details of a Secret Santa plan we have devised!
6. Naked Calendar – LETS GET NAKED!!! Jason attended our meeting this week and so after the seirious issues had been discussed we all whipped our clothes off so hopefully we have the first official photo. Lots more nakedness is planned for the next week as well!
7. RNLI Reindeer run – 7 people are doing it. Good luck guys and we hope you raise lots of money!
